Description
Under the direction of the Environmental Department Manager, the Environmental Specialist (Level I/II) develops and implements the Tribal Water Program (TWP) and Resource Conservation Program (RCP) activities and ensures compliance with federal and tribal environmental regulations, as allowed under the EPA Clean Water Act (CWA) 106 funding and the 319B Non-Point Source Funding.
Requirements

Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Hydrology, Water Resources Management, Geography, Environmental Studies/Sciences, or related field.
- Environmental Specialist II has 3+ years experience and can demonstrate the ability to perform the responsibilities required at a higher performance level, with less supervision. All components of the program are up and running. All mandatory Clean Water Act Tribal Inspector training courses have been completed and at least one compliance assistance inspection has been completed.
- Previous experience working on environmental protection projects preferred.
- Knowledge of the Clean Water Act and Tribal Governmental operations preferred.
- Experience working in Native American tribal communities is preferred.
